TAMPA – After taking down visiting King 39-0 on Friday night, the Hillsborough Terriers have allowed only 14 points through three weeks.

Amazingly enough, coach Earl Garcia’s defense surrendered no first downs the entire game as the defense came up with two interceptions and played superb all-around.

Here are the top plays from Hillsborough’s victory that put them at 3-0 through four weeks of play.

Dantley Jr. goes off

In the first half, Nate Dantley Jr. caught five passes for 85 yards so it was fitting that Hillsborough opened up the third quarter with a 67-yard bomb to him. The senior wideout scored as he bolted down the right sideline. Here’s a video of his 29-yard catch before the break. This kid is so physical.

Carter is big time

Florida commit and senior defensive end Zachary Carter had three tackles for a loss in this game including the first of two safeties on the night for the Terriers. He looks like a man amongst boys out there and brings intensity on every snap.

Holloway does it

Leon Gatlin hauled in his third pick of the season earlier in the first half and then it was Marterrence Holloway’s turn to show off. He nearly turned this interception into six points. There was a block in the back on the return, so it wouldn’t have counted, but boy did he look good here.

Thomas shines under center

Sophomore quarterback Tyler Thomas was slinging it in this game. He hit senior wide receiver CJ Williams in stride for a 24-yard touchdown on this fourth down play. Take a look.

Holland makes a play

For King, Bryson Holland was a bright spot in this game. He reeled in an interception with under one minute left in the first half. He forced one of two turnovers on the night with defensive end Chris Davis coming up with the other, a fumble recovery.
