CLEARWATER – Keyvone Lee is an up and coming talent for a new program at Superior Collegiate.

At 6’0″, 205 lbs., he’s an intimidating running back.

The Legion are a first-year group that play a competitive schedule which includes road games at Admiral Farragut, Dixie Hollins and Seffner Christian and home matchups with University Christian, Northside Christian and Arlington Country Day.

Former AFL and CFL quarterback B.J. Hall is in charge of the program as the inaugural head coach. Hall is a St. Pete native and has been around football for awhile now.

Lee loves playing for Hall.

“Its a big difference. I’m blessed to be part of his great program,” Lee told Prep Sports Scouting. “I have learned about the recruiting system and how it works. I learned about different running back drills I can do to help my game and I learned how I can become a leader on and off the field.”

Lee is going to focus mainly on running back this season but he’ll also play both defensive end and linebacker for the Legion.

He began playing football at age 7 as a quarterback.

“I started gaining a lot of confidence after the fourth game of the season last year when we played CCC,” Lee said. “After that game I got my first offer & realized I’m pretty talented.”

Lee holds 11 offers currently from Western Kentucky, Louisville, Kansas, Toledo, Rutgers, Eastern Kentucky, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Iowa State and UF.

He also has drawn interest from Ohio State, UCF and USF.

Lee pointed to his biggest strengths as his vision and ability to make people miss. He’s focused on improving his pass blocking this season.

He trains from Sunday to Thursday and is fully committed to bettering his game each and every day.

Right now, Lee wears the No. 2 jersey for Superior Collegiate. In a few years, he’ll be playing at the next level and perhaps beyond.

His ultimate goal is to make it to the NFL and make his mother proud.

Lee is really shifty and with his upper body strength and straight line speed, he is hard to stop. Look for him to have a monster sophomore season for the upstart Legion. Lee is a gifted talent coming out of Clearwater.
